Notice from Alan Eliasen, eliasen@mindspring.com

I am updating my GPG public encryption key from a 1024-bit DSA key to a
4096-bit RSA key.

I feel that, due to revelations of governments illegally spying on the
communications of their own citizens, that increasing the strength of
encryption is necessary.

You are likely seeing this document because I have communicated with you in
the past using the old key.

If you have my old public key, (old key short ID B05676B1,)
you will want to update to my new public key (new key short ID ED873D23):

New key fingerprint: EC23 92F2 EDE7 4488 680D A3CF 5F2B 4756 ED87 3D23
New key long ID : 5F2B4756ED873D23
New key short ID: ED873D23

I have signed the new key (ED873D23) with the old key, which may give you some
certainty that the new key was created by me, and not by some third party.

The new key is available from keyservers. The easiest way to import my new
key may be to import it using:

gpg --recv-key EC2392F2EDE74488680DA3CF5F2B4756ED873D23

The new key is also available on my website at:
https://futureboy.us/pgp.txt

and in my GPG tutorial.

My GPG guide contains detailed instructions on how to migrate to use another
person's new key, how to verify it, and to disable or delete the old key.
Please see:

https://futureboy.us/pgp.html#OthersNewKey

and follow the instructions there to begin using my new key exclusively.

I have also signed this message with the old key.

I intend to keep the old key active and unrevoked until at least 2015-08-01,
after which point it may be revoked. Communications using the old key will
continue to work during that time, and will continue to be able to decrypt
previous communications using the old key after revocation.

It would be appreciated if you would verify the new key with me, sign it,
and return it to me. Again, instructions for all of these steps are available
in my GPG tutorial:
